A total of 14 schools from across the province of Castellón are participating in this sporting event as part of the Endavant Club Groguet programme
The Villarreal CF Interescolar Tournament is back in style! Fifteen years after its last edition, held in the 2010/11 season, the Yellow Submarine has revived one of the most emblematic sporting events in the province as part of the Endavant Club Groguet programme. Moreover, the return has been outstanding.
This edition brings together 14 schools from across the province of Castellón, from Xilxes to La Salsadella, divided into more than 40 teams. As a highlight, the grand final will be held at the Estadio de la Cerámica, a special incentive for the youngest participants.
The participating schools are: CEIP Costur, CEIP Sant Joan de Moró, CRA L’Ullastre, CEIP Cervantes, CEIP Pare Villalonga, CEIP Luis Vives, CEIP Germans Ochando, Colegio Virgen del Carmen, CEIP Don José Alba, CEIP Riu Millars, CEIP Sant Miquel, CEIP San Vicent Ferrer, CEIP Concepción Arenal and CEIP Lleonard Mingarro.
The competition is structured into the following groups:
- Group A: CEIP Cervantes, Virgen del Carmen, CEIP Concepción Arenal and CEIP Pare Villalonga.
- Group B: CEIP Don José Alba, CEIP Luis Vives, San Vicent Ferrer and CEIP Lleonard Mingarro.
- Group C: CEIP Concepción Arenal B, CEIP Cervantes B, CEIP Riu Millars B and CEIP Germans Ochando B.
- Group D: CEIP Germans Ochando, CEIP Riu Millars, CEIP Sant Joan de Moró B and CRA L’Ullastre B.
- Group E: CEIP Riu Millars C, CEIP Luis Vives B, CEIP Cervantes C and CEIP Germans Ochando C.
- Group F: CEIP Sant Joan de Moró, CRA L’Ullastre, CEIP Sant Miquel and CEIP Costur.
- Group G: CEIP Riu Millars D, Virgen del Carmen B, CEIP Sant Joan de Moró C and CEIP Cervantes D.
A vibrant opening day
The tournament kicked off with the teams from groups A and B, who enjoyed a morning full of intense, competitive, and fun matches at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza. The festive atmosphere and sportsmanship marked a great opening day.
In addition, the participants received a very special visit. Willy Kambwala, first-team player, came by to greet the children, take photos with them, and sign autographs.
