The Villarreal Manager believes his team deserved to win against Granada
Villarreal Manager, Fran Escribá, was satisfied with his players work against Granada at the Los Cármenes stadium, although regrets that the great image the Subamrine gave off was not enough to win them the three points: “I’m really happy. The team’s level of play made me feel good. The team did everything they could to win and we’re happy with the performance, but frustrated with the draw”.
According to Escribá, the goals will come if Villarreal keep playing like they did tonight: “We created lots of chances. We are going to believe that the goals will come and the team will keep improving. I’m coming away from this game really satisfied. We have started on the right track and we must keep going this way”.
Ahead of the Submarine’s next tie, Escribá affirmed that the team will go to Monaco (Tuesday, 8:45pm CET) completely recovered and ready: “The team is going to be good physically and the passion we have to turn this around in the second leg will help us to make the comeback. We hope this match will serve us by giving everyone confidence and making the fans happy and excited with our work”.
