The Yellows attacker scored the Super Eagles’ first goal in their victory over Sudan (3-1)
Villarreal winger Samu Chukwueze started the game and scored the opener in Nigeria’s 3-1 win over Sudan, where the Super Eagles sealed their place in the Africa Cup of Nations last 16.
Ivorian defender Serge Aurier started for Côte d’Ivoire in their match against Sierra Leone (2-2). The Villarreal player ended the game in goal after his team-mate Badra Ali Sangaré was injured.
Two other Yellows also featured for their countries. Boulaye Dia played 81 minutes of Senegal’s 0-0 draw against Guinea, while Aïssa Mandi completed the whole of Algeria’s 0-1 defeat to Equatorial Guinea.
