The Villarreal manager underlined that the team is ready for the restart of LaLiga against RC Celta (Saturday, 5pm CEST)
Villarreal manager Javi Calleja appeared in front of the press for a virtual press conference, where journalists asked their questions to the Yellows head coach via video link.
He underlined that the team is extremely motivated ahead of the league’s restart: “We can’t wait. We have 11 games ahead of us where we’re going to be facing a lot of teams around us. We want to get into Europe and now we need to work hard and show that on the pitch. Each game will be crucial to fight for the aim.”
With regards to the Yellows’ first opponent, RC Celta (Saturday, 5pm CEST) Calleja praised the potential of the Galician side: “They have very talented players up front. They always cause us problems. We want to get out of the bad run of results against them recently. We will try and make the most of our talents to get a good result there.”
After three months without LaLiga action, the Yellows manager underlined that the team is ready for the final run-in: “We haven’t competed for a long time, we’ve had an atypical pre-season. We don’t have match fitness, but we need to be ready. We were all really keen for the return of LaLiga. It’s here now and we need to go into it as well as possible.”
Finally, Calleja sent a message to Yellows fans: “I hope everyone is well. We are going to miss the fans a lot at the stadium, but we are going to fight even more to give them happiness. Hopefully we can all be together at the ground soon, like we always are.”
