The Yellows captain forms part of Spain’s 25-man squad, while Asenjo and Denis are ‘on reserve’
Spain manager, Vicente del Bosque, has chosen three Villarreal CF players for the pre-UEFA EURO 2016 France friendly matches. The captain of the Yellow Submarine, Bruno Soriano, has been selected as part of the 25-man squad (2 of whom will be dropped on the 31st May), while Sergio Asenjo and Denis Suárez are on the ‘reserve’ list of players, but will also train under the orders of Del Bosque.
Spain will play three friendlies before the tournament in France: vs Bosnia on 29th May, vs South Korea on 1st June and vs Georgia on 7th June. In the Group Stages they will play vs Czech Republic on 13th June, vs Turkey on 17th June and vs Croatia on 21st June.
