This morning Bruno Soriano received the the badge of Merit for Sport presented to him at the Provincial Council of Castellón, on the occasion of the ‘Day of the Province’. The President of the Provincial Council, Javier Moliner, presented the badge to the Yellow Submarine captain, who was chosen for this recognition “for being a reference as a sportsman and human being”, as he has played at the top level for many years, representing Villarreal CF and the Spanish national team.
Javier Moliner wanted to thank Bruno “for not forgetting where he’s from nor his identity, and for embodying this spirit of remembering your roots, demonstrating that you don’t have to leave this province to triumph”.
“Thank you for the humility and commitment that define you, thank you for holding the name of your town and province high, for the whole world to see, either dressed in the yellow of Villarreal or the red of Spain. Thanks for making us feel proud every time you step onto the pitch with the number 21 on your back, the same number you wore when playing for the Artana regional team”, the President said.
After playing more than 400 matches for the Yellows and 10 internationals for Spain, Bruno Soriano said he feels “proud” to have received this recognition for his work at Villarreal CF, after spending his entire football career playing for the Yellow Submarine.
