

The Villarreal striker played the final minutes of the Quarter-final against Ghana
Villarreal CF’s French-Congolese striker, Cédric Bakambu, bid farewell to the African Cup of Nations yesterday after his Democratic Republic of the Congo fell in the Quarter-finals to Ghana (1-2). Bakambu came on in the 83rd minute, replacing his teammate M’Poku, but could help his country make the comeback. The game’s goals were scored by M’Poku, Jordan Ayew and André Ayew (penalty).
