

The ‘Càtedra Endavant Villarreal CF de l’Esport’ has allocated €30,000 in grants for elite athletes from Jaume I University
The Sports Service at the Jaume I University (UJI) yesterday celebrated a commemoration ceremony for the 20th anniversary of the Elite Athletes Programme in the university. The event, which united 119 athletes from the programme, was attended by UJI chancellor Eva Alcón, Tino Traver and Marcos Senna from Villarreal CF’s institutional relations department, Fundación Trinidad Alfonso project manager Daniel Olmos, vice-chancellor for Students and Social Compromise Inmaculada Rodriguez and UJI’s Sports Service manager Carlos Hernando.
During the ceremony, Villarreal CF presented the ‘Càtedra Endavant Villarreal CF de l’Esport’ programme, which supports elite student athletes. For the ninth year in a row, the club will allocate allocated €30,000 in grants. In 2019, this help was split between 42 athletes, studying 17 different subjects and practising 13 different sports.
