Villarreal return to training and begin preparations for the regional derby against Elche CF
Villarreal CF’s first team returned to training on Monday after enjoying a well-earned Christmas break. Marcelino García Toral’s side trained this afternoon at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza as they began preparations for Saturday 3 January’s clash against Elche CF at the Estadio Martínez Valero (6:30pm CET).
Marcelino’s men are aiming to start 2026 in the best possible way against the Elche-based side, one of the standout teams of the season so far in LALIGA EA SPORTS. The Yellows will look to open the year with a victory that continues the strong form shown by the Yellow Submarine in the domestic competition this season.
