The Yellows youngsters starred in La Roja’s win over Ukraine (2-1)
Villarreal academy players, Alejandro Baena and Ivan Morante, starred in Spain U18’s 2-1 win over Ukraine. The side, managed by Santi Denia, got their second win from two games in the Slovakia Cup.
Winger Baena started the match, and managed 79 minutes against the Ukrainian outfit, while wearing the captain’s armband. Midfielder Morante came on in the 53rd minute, replacing team-mate César Moreno.
Spain U18s will return to action this Thursday against the Czech Republic. Denia’s side will be hoping for a third victory in a row to confirm their place in the final.
