The Andalusian defender hit this milestone in the match against Sevilla FC
Alfonso Pedraza reached 200 official appearances for Villarreal CF’s first team in the recent LALIGA clash against Sevilla FC (4-2), played at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
The Yellows’ No. 24 reached this remarkable figure in what has been an emotional season on a personal level, having returned to the team after recovering from a long-term injury that kept him out of action for over a year.
A true Submarine stalwart
A product of the Yellows Academy, which he joined at just 15 years of age, the Córdoba-born defender becomes the 22nd player in the club’s history to reach 200 matches in the top flight with the team. Among the current squad, only Gerard Moreno, Dani Parejo and Raúl Albiol have surpassed the 200-appearance mark for the Submarine.
