Villarreal B’s head coach has highlighted the attacking potential of a team built to fight for promotion
illarreal B coach David Albelda spoke to the media this Thursday to preview the upcoming match against Real Murcia, corresponding to matchday 4 of Primera Federación, which will take place this Friday at 9:30pm CEST at the Estadio Enrique Roca.
The Valencian coach emphasised the quality of Real Murcia and stressed the need to avoid errors in order to compete for the win: “They are a very strong team, one of the favourites in the league. They have a great coach with experience in Segunda, and a squad with experience in both Segunda División and Primera Federación. They are a team designed to fight for promotion. If we want to go after the match, we must minimise mistakes and work well as a team.”
Albelda also noted that Murcia require very little to score: “They don’t need to play a perfect game or dominate possession to create danger and score goals. They have an excellent squad and standout players like Flakus. That said, we want to focus on ourselves, on playing our game. That’s how we’ll be closer to winning.”
Finally, the Mini Submarine coach praised his team’s style of play, despite not having won in their last two matches: “The overall performance is good. We could have more points, but we must continue on this path. The other day, considering how the match went, the point was very positive. This is a very even league where anyone can make things difficult. We came close to causing problems for Eldense, who came down from Segunda, while Europa, just promoted, managed to take a point from us at our home.”
