The Valencian coach predicts a difficult match against Torremolinos, worthy of the category (Saturday, 4:15pm CEST)
Villarreal B head coach David Albelda spoke to V Play to preview the Mini Submarine’s upcoming match against Torremolinos, corresponding to Matchday 28 of Group II in the Primera Federación. The game will be played this Saturday at 4:15pm CEST at the Mini Estadi of the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza.
During his appearance, Albelda gave a positive assessment of both the Mini Submarine’s season so far and their most recent match against Teruel: “We continue with a positive mentality. It was an unfair result, it was more a draw than a defeat. Teruel played their game, they kept a lot of players behind the ball and it was difficult for us to create danger. But we look at the present and the future with optimism.”
The Valencian coach also emphasised the importance of approaching the match with the aim of staying in the top positions in the table: “With the situation we are in, with a good cushion of points, we approach it with optimism and positivity. We give a lot of importance to this match because in the future it could put us in a position to compete higher up the table and with the possibility of playing in the promotion play-offs.”
When analysing the opposition, the Mini Submarine boss admitted it will be a very demanding game and that the Yellows will need to produce their best performance: “We have to focus on ourselves and doing our job well. If we impose the rhythm that suits us and show our strengths, we will have a lot of chances to win the match. A lot of respect for Torremolinos because they have kept the core of their squad, recruited well and have important players at this level.”
