Villarreal CF has eight associated clubs in Spain and one in Argentina
A factory of players who dream of putting on the yellow shirt and triumphing in Spain. ADIUR is one of nine of Villarreal CF’s associated clubs, who work with the club to form players. Eight of the teams are in Spain (Mislata Unión de Fútbol, CD Roda, Primer Toque CF, Escuela de Fútbol Torre-Pacheco, Kelme CF, CD Oliver, UD Alginet and CD Floresta), while the only one overseas is ADIUR.
The relationship between Villarreal CF and ADIUR is now a decade old, since Nahuel Leiva arrived at Villarreal CF. The current Deportivo la Coruña player started at ADIUR and arrived at the Yellows Academy at a very young age, before he rose through the ranks and played for the Villarreal CF first team. He is a reference point for hundreds of children who dream of plying their trade in Spain.
A few weeks ago, Fabián Soldini, one of the most important men at ADIUR was at the Villarreal CF Training Ground. “We’re a player training session for footballers who are looking for excellence both nationally and internationally. Our relationship with Villarreal is ver good and thanks to that, we have grown, regarding our methodology and our infrastructure,” he commented.
ADIUR’s history started in 1979, when a group of parents whose children played at the Agrupación Deportiva Infantil Rosario (ADIR) (Rosario Youth Sporting Group), walked away from the entity and decided to found a similar institution, that was dedicated mainly to youth football, which they called ADIUR. The name change was small, adding the word ‘Unión’ which means union. The colours they chose were orange with a black trim.
Each agreement with each associated club is different, but the objective is the same: to form players who reach the Villarreal CF structure. In fact, the Yellows also have agreements with 34 clubs across the Castellón province through the Endavant Futbol Provincial project. There are a total of 42 clubs twinned with Villarreal CF. The future is in safe hands.
