The Mini Submarine drew against Huesca thanks to a great goal by Jorge Pascual in the second half
Villarreal B earned a point against SD Huesca in an intense match at the Estadio de la Cerámica (1-1). The Mini Submarine equalised Vilarrasa’s unfortunate opening goal thanks to a tremendous strike from Jorge Pascual from the edge of the area in the second half. Carlo also scored for the Yellows, but the goal was disallowed for handball.
Huesca took an early lead. Vilarrasa took a powerful free kick and the ball ended up in the goal after a series of rebounded shots (0-1, m.12).
The Yellows took control of the ball in search of an equaliser, but Huesca were quick to counter-attack and create danger in front of Morro’s goal. This is how the first half went, with the Mini Submarine trying to find loopholes in the Huesca defence and Huesca looking to counter-attack.
Villarreal B managed to equalise in stoppage time, but the goal was disallowed at the behest of the VAR. Carlo Adriano had scored with a cross-shot and the referee disallowed the goal due to a previous handball in the control.
In the second half, Miguel Álvarez brought on Jorge Pascual in search of a goal. The striker from Almeria took Rodrigo’s place, moving Collado to the wing.
It was the Villarreal B No.11 who scored the equaliser. Jorge Pascual scored a wonderful goal with a tremendous left-footed shot that went into the top corner of the net. Brutal (72nd minute).
From then until the end of the game, the yellow subsidiary tried without luck. In the end, a point against a direct rival in the standings.
Villarreal B’s next opponent will be Mirandés away from home (Saturday, 4:15pm CET). There is still a long way to go.
