Miguel Ángel Tena takes on a new role at the club
One of our own. Miguel Ángel Tena has been named new director of football for Villarreal CF. The Almassora native played for the Yellows Academy and progressed through the ranks to make his debut for the first team in the 2003/04 season.
Three seasons ago he came back to Villarreal CF to coach the U19s in the División de Honor, with whom he won two league titles and the Copa del Rey. This season he was managing the Villarreal C team (U21s) in the Third Division and they are having an excellent season so far. Now, Tena has a new challenge.
Igor Tasevski will manage Villarreal C
Following the appointment of Miguel Ángel Tena as the new director of football, Igor Tasevski will step up to coach Villarreal C from now on in the Third Division. The Serbian, who also played for the Villarreal first team, was a member of the Villarreal B coaching staff led by Miguel Álvarez.
