The valencian coach takes on the challenge of beating the andalusian side on their stadium (Saturday, 6.30pm)
Villarreal B head coach David Albelda spoke to V Play to analyse what awaits the Mini Submarino in their upcoming match against Antequera CF, corresponding to matchday 29 of the Primera Federación, which will be played this Saturday at 6.30pm at El Maulí.
“We are in a good moment and we always think about winning. We know how difficult Antequera are, but that doesn’t take away our ambition and desire to go for victory,” said Albelda, whose ambition does not stop him from praising the strong level of the team from Málaga.
“They are a cheerful side who play good football. They have experience and a lot of quality. They are a team with an attractive approach and they have very dangerous players up front for this category. They are a great opponent and we have maximum respect for them, but we will approach the match with the desire to win,” added the legendary valencian midfielder.
“I imagine a very open match. We are two teams with a similar idea, although they have much more experience. Both teams have suffered throughout the season, but we arrive now in a good sporting and league situation. It will be a match with plenty of chances,” predicted Albelda.
Finally, regarding objectives, the coach prefers to go step by step, but always with ambition: “We have put in many months of work. We are excited about the 10 matches remaining. We want to finish with good feelings and see how far we are able to go. We are not setting specific targets, but I would like to end the season looking upwards.”
