Hundreds of Yellow Submarine supporters came to donate blood this Thursday at the Villarreal stadium
Villarreal CF opened the doors of the Estadio de la Cerámica to solidarity once again. This Thursday, the Yellow Submarine hosted the traditional blood donation campaign for the 24th consecutive season — the second time it has been held at the stadium this year — in an initiative promoted by the Conselleria de Sanitat Universal i Salut Pública of the Generalitat Valenciana.
This afternoon, fans can continue to come and donate blood at the groguet stadium by entering through Gate 34, from 4.30pm to 9.00pm.
An initiative with more than 25 seasons of history
Thanks to this initiative, carried out through Endavant Solidaritat (Villarreal CF’s CSR programme), hundreds of groguet supporters and local residents have answered the call for solidarity, donating blood in the heart of Vila-real.
As a token of appreciation, Villarreal CF has given each donor two tickets for the Yellow Submarine’s reserve-team match against Real Murcia CF. Additionally, every donor will be entered into a draw for two VIP Super Tribuna double tickets for Villarreal’s match against Valencia CF, as well as two signed shirts.
This charitable initiative, promoted by the club, now spans more than two decades. The Yellow Submarine has opened the doors of its stadium to blood donors since the 2001/02 season, when this collaboration was launched. Since then, more than 10,000 donations have been registered at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
