Plenty of minutes for Villarreal CF’s internationals during the November window
Villarreal CF’s international players once again took centre stage during the November international break, with several of them playing key roles for their national teams.
Juan Foyth started and played the full 90 minutes in Argentina’s 2-0 win over Angola on 14th November.
Renato Veiga featured in both of Portugal’s fixtures. He came on at half-time to play 45 minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Ireland. In the game against Armenia, he was in the starting XI, played the full match and opened the scoring in the seventh minute, paving the way for a commanding 9-1 win.
For Canada, both Tajon Buchanan and Tani Oluwaseyi played in the two friendlies against Ecuador and Venezuela. Buchanan started and played 75 minutes in the 2-0 win over Ecuador, before starting again and playing 79 minutes in the 0-0 draw with Venezuela. Oluwaseyi also started both games, playing 64 minutes against Ecuador (2-0) and 79 minutes in the goalless draw against Venezuela.
Ilias Akhomach provided impact from the bench for Morocco. He played 16 minutes in the 1-0 win over Mozambique and 15 minutes in the 4-0 victory against Uganda.
In Africa, Pape Gueye started both matches for Senegal. He played 76 minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Brazil and 46 minutes in the emphatic 8-0 win against Kenya.
