The Valencian coach stated that his team must be patient and make the most of their chances to beat Atlético de Madrid B (Friday, 7pm CEST)
Villarreal B coach David Albelda spoke to V Play this Thursday ahead of the match against Atlético de Madrid B, corresponding to matchday 6 of Primera Federación. The game will take place this Friday at 7pm at the Mini Estadi of the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza.
“I expect an open game, given what we’ve seen from both teams so far this season and the profile of the players. We play at home and will try to impose our style.”
To beat Atlético de Madrid B, Albelda stresses patience and correcting small details: “We have to wait for our moment. There will be chances. Set pieces are key – we’ve conceded too many goals from these situations or the follow-up. These are corrections we are focusing on. In terms of play, I believe we will have opportunities to win games.”
The Mini Submarino coach also highlighted that his team is on the right track: “We know the path we want to follow. We’re in a good place. It’s still early and we would have liked a few more points because we deserved them, but the situation is what it is. We’ve lacked a bit of luck. We’re still at the beginning and the style and play show us that the path is the right one.”
