Villarreal welcome Oluwaseyi, Tenas, Solomon and Mikautadze at La Cerámica
Villarreal CF officially presented their last four signings this Thursday: Tani Oluwaseyi, Arnau Tenas, Manor Solomon and Georges Mikautadze. The event, held in the press room at the Estadio de la Cerámica, was led by the club’s CEO, Fernando Roig Negueroles.
The Villarreal executive welcomed the new arrivals and wished them the best of luck for this new chapter as Yellow players. He highlighted Tani Oluwaseyi’s goalscoring ability and physical presence, praised Manor Solomon’s flair and attacking threat from the wing, and underlined Arnau Tenas’ qualities as a goalkeeper. As for Georges Mikautadze, he described him as a “street footballer” who is sure to win the hearts of the Villarreal fans.
Tani Oluwaseyi: “I want to play at the highest level”
The Canadian striker expressed his excitement about joining Villarreal CF, playing in Spanish football and featuring in the UEFA Champions League: “I’ve always wanted to play at the highest level and now the time has come. I know what I can bring in both LALIGA and the Champions League.”
Oluwaseyi also emphasised that his adaptation has been smooth: “It’s gone well so far. I was able to train with the team and even play against Celta before going away with the national team. I’m really looking forward to this challenge and to helping the team.”
Manor Solomon: “I want to show my quality and help the team with goals and assists”
The Israeli winger shared his happiness at joining the Submarine: “I’m very happy to be here. I didn’t expect to come here, but fortunately it happened at the end of the window. I want to show my quality, see the fans in the stadium and make them happy wearing this shirt.”
Solomon stated that he is ready to contribute: “I want to help with goals, assists and creativity. My aim is to contribute both in attack and in defence. I’d like to offer something different to the team and to do it as soon as possible.”
Arnau Tenas: “It’s a big challenge and I’ll give everything I have”
The Catalan goalkeeper stressed that joining Villarreal is an important step in his career: “I’ve always liked challenges and difficult things. I think this is a very important step for me. I want to play here and be important for this club. I want to help in every way I can and I’ll give everything for this great club.”
Tenas also spoke about the positive competition among the goalkeepers: “It’s a healthy competition, where we focus on the positives from our teammates and improve as players. Overall, I think we’ve got a very good group and the day-to-day atmosphere is excellent.”
Georges Mikautadze: “I’ve come to Villarreal to achieve great things”
The Georgian forward admitted he is highly motivated by the move: “I’ve come here to achieve great things and I hope it will be worthwhile. I’m really looking forward to the season ahead. I’ve always given my best and I’ll do the same here.”
Mikautadze is confident he can adapt well to Spanish football: “It’s a league I’ve always liked and I really wanted to play in it. I think my qualities suit it well and with this team everything can go right.”
