The music initiative promoted by Villarreal CF and the SanSan Festival will feature 13 shows throughout the season
The return of Groc Talent is a reality! The successful music competition promoted by Villarreal CF, in collaboration with the SanSan Festival and Vila-real Town Council, has confirmed the artists who will take part in its sixth edition, which will be held during the 2025/26 season.
A total of 13 Valencian bands will showcase their talent to the world this season and compete for the exciting prize of performing live at the SanSan Festival, the prestigious indie festival in Benicàssim, which will take place from 17th to 19th April 2026.
The artists participating in Groc Talent this season are: Amiga Adiós, Ander Troys, Bèrnia, BLFST, Canciller, Clara de Min, Defectos, Kakao, Nosotros tres, Predicadores, Roble, Sexy Sugar and Valancea.
Ander Troys to Open Groc Talent
Ander Troys will be the band in charge of kicking off the sixth edition of Groc Talent this Sunday, 24th August, at 6pm in the Fan Zone ahead of the Villarreal CF vs Girona FC match.
This band from Castellón blend pop-rock, indie, funk and singer-songwriter influences, creating a fresh and versatile sound. They began their musical journey in 2020 and have built their identity through profound lyrics full of metaphors and emotions. Their unique style saw them reach the final of last year’s edition of the competition.
Groc Talent, a Boost for Local Music
Groc Talent is a music promotion project within Villarreal CF’s Endavant Cultura programme, with the main aim of showcasing and supporting the musical talent of emerging bands and artists from the province of Castellón and the Region of Valencia.
As in previous editions, the participating groups will have the chance to present themselves and shine with their music on a unique stage: the Fan Zone at the Estadio de la Cerámica, which brings together thousands of people in the build-up to the Yellow Submarine’s home matches.
Fans will be able to vote for the performances of the different groups on the club’s website, starting the Monday after each concert. The three most-voted bands will qualify for the grand final (date to be confirmed), where after another performance, a professional jury will decide the winner of the new edition of Groc Talent.
The winner of this sixth edition will earn the opportunity to perform at the SanSan Festival, just as the winners of previous editions of the competition—Red Smoke, Valiente Bosque, La Aldea, Pasqual Riera and La Pelona—have already done.
