The homegrown Yellow departs for Mexican football after 15 years at the club
Villarreal CF and Querétaro FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Carlo Adriano. The young footballer, born in Vila-real, leaves what has been his home after 15 years wearing the Yellow Submarine shirt.
A player with Villarreal DNA, he is the son of one of the club’s all-time top scorers, Adriano García. He joined the club in 2009 and became one of the most promising talents to emerge from the academy.
Carlo Adriano made his first-team debut in December 2020 in the Copa del Rey and was a key figure in Miguel Álvarez’s Villarreal B side that achieved promotion and went on to play two seasons in Segunda División.
The club wishes him the very best in this new chapter. Sempre groguet!
