The Canary Islands midfielder highlighted that Villarreal is a “winning team” and said he is proud to wear this shirt
Alberto Moleiro was officially presented as a new Villarreal CF player this Friday in the press room at the Estadio de la Cerámica. He was welcomed by CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles and expressed his gratitude and excitement about joining the Yellow Submarine.
“I want to thank the club for placing their trust in me. I arrive with hunger and the desire to give everything I have to help the team. I’m really looking forward to this new chapter,” said Moleiro.
The talented midfielder described Villarreal as a winning and ambitious club:
“This is a club that fights for big goals, and I think that will help me grow a lot. It makes me proud to wear this shirt, and I want to give my all.”
Moleiro also expressed his motivation to wear the Yellow jersey and compete at the highest level:
“It’s a huge step in my career. I’m eager to play alongside my new teammates, who are fantastic players, and to face top clubs in LaLiga and the Champions League. I’m here to contribute everything I’ve got.”
Regarding the chance to play in European competition, he added:
“I’m highly motivated. Playing in the Champions League is a dream I’ve had since I was a kid. And of course, I’m excited to compete in LaLiga and the Copa del Rey as well.”
When asked about his style of play, Moleiro described himself as an intelligent and creative footballer:
“I like to link up with teammates and be direct. That’s what I aim to bring to the team—my one-on-one ability, freshness, and something different in attack. It’s natural for me, and I hope to do it here too.”
On his preferred position, the Canary Islander noted:
“What matters most is playing minutes. I’m happy to be on the pitch, wherever that may be. I feel comfortable in multiple positions, though I do like playing on the left side or as a second striker.”
