The Valencian midfielder rejoins Villarreal Women to strengthen the midfield
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Sara Medina, who will play for Villarreal Women in the upcoming 2025/26 season. The midfielder from Valencia joins as a free agent after spending the last two seasons at Alhama CF, where she helped the team earn promotion to Liga F.
A top-quality addition to the midfield
Sara Medina Hidalgo (8 August 1998, Valencia) begins her second spell at Villarreal CF, where she previously played for three seasons (from 2019/20 to 2021/22). During that time, she was part of the team that achieved the historic promotion to the top flight. Medina also made 20 appearances in Liga F, scoring a direct free-kick goal against Athletic Club at Lezama.
After three seasons away — one at CD Fundación Albacete Femenino and two at Alhama CF — the midfielder returns to the Yellows to bring her experience, vision and quality to the heart of the team.
