This evening, the opening ceremony of the ASCALE LALIGA FC FUTURES tournament was held at the Estadio de la Cerámica
The XXXII ASCALE LALIGA FC FUTURES National Tournament is officially under way. This evening, the opening ceremony took place for this prestigious competition, which for the third consecutive year will bring together the top U12 talents from the 20 LaLiga clubs. All the teams paraded across the pitch at the Estadio de la Cerámica, receiving a warm welcome from the stands before the official speeches signalled the start of the tournament.
A top-level event, the tournament is free and open to all fans who would like to enjoy the action live. The competition begins this Friday and will run until Sunday.
This edition of the world’s best U12 tournament is organised by LALIGA in collaboration with the José Ramón de la Morena Foundation and Villarreal CF. It once again features ASCALE (Grupo Pamesa) as the main sponsor and includes the support of EA Sports, Solán de Cabras, PUMA and Moeve as official partners.
The best U12 tournament in the world is at home in Vila-real
The ASCALE LALIGA FC FUTURES National Tournament has become a fixture in Vila-real, with the city having hosted the competition for the last eleven consecutive editions. For the past three seasons, it has been held at the impressive home of the Yellow Submarine, renovated in 2023. In previous years, the PAMESA Cerámica Training Ground and the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground were also home to this prestigious youth football event.
A major boost for the province
The ASCALE LALIGA FC FUTURES is one of the biggest economic and tourism drivers in the province each June. More than 1,000 people, including players, coaches, families and staff, travel to Castellón to take part in this renowned U12 tournament, which is proudly backed by ASCALE, a local company, as main sponsor.
In addition to significant national media coverage, the event generates hundreds of direct jobs and a substantial economic impact for many businesses across the province.
Teams and tournament format
The participating teams have been divided into groups as follows:
• Group A: Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Real Valladolid and Girona FC
• Group B: Villarreal CF, Real Betis, RCD Espanyol, Rayo Vallecano and CA Osasuna
• Group C: FC Barcelona, Sevilla FC, RC Celta, CD Leganés and Deportivo Alavés
• Group D: Atlético de Madrid, Valencia CF, Getafe CF, UD Las Palmas and RCD Mallorca
Following this spectacular opening day, the prestigious U12 tournament will unfold across three action-packed days. The group stage begins on Friday 6th June at 10:00am and continues on Saturday, also starting at 10:00am. The quarter-finals will be held on Saturday 7th June from 6:00pm. The semi-finals will take place on Sunday 8th June at 10:00am and 10:45am, followed by the third-place play-off at 12:30pm and the grand final at 1:00pm.

Villarreal will aim to collect as many points as possible in the group stage in order to progress in the competition. The Yellows’ squad is made up of 12 players: Romeo Albiol, Hugo Segarra, Dídac Esteve, Álvaro Garrido, Chosen Osaze, Marc García, Elía Marecaldi, Antonio Nieto, Álvaro Martínez, Rómulo Castro, Suli Abdelaziz and Alberto Salcedo.
