The futsal team will take to the La Cerámica pitch before the match with the historic Copa de España trophy
Villarreal CF would like to pay tribute to Servigroup Peñíscola FS for recently winning the Copa de España de Fútbol Sala (Spanish Futsal Cup). To celebrate this historic title for sport in the province of Castellón, the Yellows have invited the team to the match against Athletic Club, which will be played this Sunday at 9pm CEST at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
The team from Peñíscola will take to the pitch in the build-up to the match against the Basque side to show off this historic sporting title and receive the recognition of the home fans.
Servigroup Peñíscola FS defeated Islas Baleares Palma Futsal (3-4) in the final of the Copa de España de Fútbol Sala, held last weekend at the Palacio de los Deportes in Murcia. With this victory, they won their first trophy in an epic way. In addition to having won this important trophy, Peñíscola are having a historic season as they also lead the first division standings.

The team from Peñíscola is one of the clubs that form part of Endavant Esports, Villarreal CF’s sports sponsorship programme, with which the Yellows club encourages and promotes elite sport in the province of Castellón.
In the 2024/25 season, Endavant Esports includes 30 clubs, 28 athletes and seven competitions in the province of Castellón. It has a budget of €300,000 and a reach of 8,650 athletes of all ages and abilities in the province, who benefit from this project.
