Marcelino has highlighted the performance of the entire team in the win over Getafe
Villarreal head coach Marcelino García Toral said he was proud of the Submarine’s good work in the win at the Coliseum. “We achieved a well-deserved victory thanks to the good work of all the players. I’m proud of their work. Today we have confirmed that we are on the right track. It’s very good news after the international break and two defeats.”
He also analysed Getafe, who are a tough team to face: “Getafe are like a toothache and we knew that it was a tough place to visit, that we were going to come up against a difficult opponent and that we had to give a good performance. They are a team that always show a great competitive and fighting character.”
With regard to the disallowed goals for Villarreal, the Yellows coach pointed out that this is not a common occurrence: “I haven’t spoken to the referee. I have congratulated him. We must have been unlucky for one circumstance or another but it’s not common for three goals to be disallowed. Apparently, the three of them are tight decisions. It’s a pity.”
