The Villarreal Women head coach underlines the hard work every day to fight for the three points up for grabs in each match
Jordi Ferriols, head coach of Villarreal Women, appeared in front of the media this Friday to speak about the upcoming match against AEM, corresponding to Matchday 22 of the 2024/25 Primera Federación Femenina season, which will take place on Sunday at 12:30pm CET, at the Municipal de Recasens.
A very important point against DUX Logroño
“It was a very important point against a very tough opponent in a match, which was very hard fought. We’re in a good place, because we’re on a positive run. We have to continue this path and try and win against AEM Lleida.”
Continue to get points on the board
“We’re continuing to work hard every game, with confidence and focused on continuing to improve. We believe in ourselves and we’re going to try and get the three points in every match.”
Next up: AEM Lleida
“We know they’re a tough opponent. They have a direct style of play and they’re an intense team. We’re confident about what we’ve worked on, we’re on a good run and we need to continue like that.”
The plan for the match
“Ser nosotras mismas, sacar el mejor rendimiento, la mejor conducta y preparar el partido de la mejor forma posible. Eso es lo que nos acercará a la victoria contra el AEM”.
“Being ourselves, perform at our best, and prepare the match the best way possible. That is what will bring us closer to getting a win against AEM.”
The forwards
“We’re on a good run and we need to continue like that. You’ve spoken about Aixa and Lauris, but I also want to highlight Alexia, who on the back of an injury put in a great performance, with an assist and a goal. The people who come off the bench also have to help the team.”
