The Submarine was been represented in Japan by Yuriko Saeki at the conference ‘The importance of discovering talents and developing them individually in the era of development’
Villarreal CF, together with UEFA Pro coach Yuriko Saeki, gave a presentation at the prestigious JFA 14th Football Conference 2025 ‘Japan’s Way’. The conference was held in the Japanese city of Kumamoto. Up to 800 people attended in person, joined by another 2,000 people online.
The meeting was structured in three different presentations dedicated to training. Villarreal CF had the privilege of opening the day with the talk, given by Yuriko, ‘The methodology of Villarreal CF: 10 years of work with the focus on the player’.
The second event was a round table discussion featuring representatives of European clubs and former players such as Makoto Hasebe (Eintracht Frankfurt / UEFA B) and Shinji Okazaki (former player and in the process of a UEFA licence in England), as well as Yuriko Saeki (Villarreal CF / UEFA Pro). In this case, knowledge was imparted on: ‘Training from a European point of view’.
Finally, the conference was rounded off with the last round table discussion on ‘World Football Forum’ with the participation of leading personalities from the world of Asian and European football:
