Yellows fans will make a spectacular mosaic in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals
Villarreal have organised an impressive tifo for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals against Liverpool FC (Tuesday 3rd May, 9pm CEST). Fans will lift up their cards during the UEFA Champions League anthem and then during Villarreal’s anthem too, which will be sung a cappella immediately after. The Yellows will try and help their team get a historic comeback against the Reds in this historic match.
This is the first tifo that will occupy the whole stadium in Villarreal CF’s history, so the Yellows who go to La Cerámica will always remember that they were part of this moment. Your time is now! You’ve shown that you’re fans worthy of the Champions League and now we are going to enjoy the last European match of the season at our stadium.
Here is how the tifo will be shown at La Cerámica:
- The Villarreal anthem will play over the loudspeaker system. The mosaic will not yet be shown.
- When the players are leaving the tunnel, just before the UEFA Champions League anthem, each fan will stand up and lift up their piece of card (and the ones from the adjacent seat if it is empty).
- The tifo will be kept up while the Villarreal anthem is sung a cappella. The Singing Section will start to sing when the UEFA Champions League anthem finishes.
