Gero Rulli underlines that it is the time to minimise errors and be the make the most of the team’s strengths
Villarreal goalkeeper Gero Rulli has appeared in front of the press to analyse the current situation regarding the Yellows, who are without a game this week due ot the international break.
Going into the international break
“Getting three points against Getafe was very important to head calmly into the international break with confidence, knowing that we had just got a win.”
A week to focus on improvements
“Now we have a week where we need to focus on improving, getting our injured players back, correcting mistakes and studying how to cause problems for oppositions who sit back against us. We want to make the most of our strengths and minimise the weaknesses we have as a team.”
A month of exciting, but demanding games
“We’ve got a month of exciting games ahead of us, and we know that if we do things well, we will move towards the upper echelons of the table.”
Looking forward
“The aim that we have is to fight to be as high up the table as possible. Playing in Europe demands a lot, but that’s what we want. We have got games coming up against strong teams, who are above us. That’s what’s key in moving up the league table.”
A call to the fans
“The support of the fans is very important for us. We have a tough month coming up with difficult opponents. We need them to give us their support, we’ve got a lot to play for and we need everyone.”
Review of the season so far
“In the Champions League, it’s been positive. We’re joint leaders of the group. In LaLiga, it’s not been so good. We’re not where we want to be, but there’s still time left, time to react and a demanding month ahead of us where we will try and get good results.”
