Another Manu Trigueros masterclass

The midfielder was once more a key man for Villarreal in the win in Zagreb

Villarreal CF midfielder Manu Trigueros once more gave a masterclass of positioning and quality in the Submarine’s win over Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Europa League.

For Trigueros, the team put in a great performance, but the tie is far from over: “It was an extremely tough game. Dinamo closed off a lot of spaces in the first half. The goal from the penalty spot changed the game in the second half. We generated a lot more chances and it’s a shame we couldn’t score another goal to swing the tie further in our favour.”

The Yellows No.14 has now played 694 minutes in the ten matches he has featured for Villarreal in this current UEFA Europa League campaign. Across all of those games, he has an 84% passing accuracy.
