

The Villarreal Ladies manager has signed a one-year contract extension and will lead the team into Primera B
Villarreal CF and Sara Monforte have reached an agreement that means that the Ladies First Team manager will stay at the helm for the upcoming 2019/20 season.
Monforte arrived at the club before the 2018/19 season, and under her guidance, the Ladies First Team have put in an excellent campaign, managing to get promotion to Primera División B. In her first season on the bench, the manager helped the team reach their objective.
As a player, Monforte had a long career, being active for 19 years, with 18 of those in the top flight. The other season in her career saw her play with Villarreal in Segunda. Throughout her career, she played for a number of different teams: Levante for four seasons, then four with Espanyol, one with D.S.V. Colegio Alemán, one with Villarreal, three in Valencia and two in Zaragoza. Moreover, she won titles, and represented Spain 11 times. She has eight Copas de la Reina and two league titles to her name.
