Mario González underlined that Villarreal B should follow the current path to get a victory
Villarreal B striker Mario González underlined this lunchtime that the Yellows Reserves should carry the current path to continue accumulating wins. Going into this weekend’s game against CD Alcoyano, the Mini Submarine drew their last match, against CD Castellón: “It was a great spectacle. Everyone was able to enjoy a great derby. It would have been fairer for us to win, but that’s football. We didn’t make the most of our chances and at the end, they could have won the game. The other day against Castellón, like the Hércules match, we were better, but the win escaped us due to little details.”
For González, the route to take is clear: “We have to stick with the team’s hard work. If we carry on like that, the results will come. We’re first in the table. We’re three points clear of the teams below us. Now we’re going to El Collao, which is a really tough ground to visit. Things could happen whenever the ball is in the box. It won’t be an easy match.”
To conclude, González was excited ahead of the future: “We have three or four top-level matches in a row. We will go into them the same as we would for every other game. They all value three points. The idea is the same as always, to carry on playing well and trying to get wins that keep us towards the top of the table.”
