Villarreal CF sign the Chilean midfielder for the 2018-19 season
Villarreal CF and Manuel Iturra have reached an agreement which will see the Chilean midfielder join the Yellow Submarine for the 2018-19 season. Iturra arrives at the club on a free transfer and will fill one of the two free spaces in the Yellows’ squad.
Manuel Iturra will be officially presented as a new Yellow Submarine player on Thursday at 12.30pm in the press room at the Ciudad Deportiva. The footballer will also take part in a friendly match against Villarreal B on Wednesday, alongside his new team-mates. That game will take place in the Mini Estadi at 10.15am.
Manuel Rolando Iturra Urrutia (Temuco, Chile, 23rd June 1984), is an experienced footballer who has played for four Spanish clubs throughout his career (Málaga, Granada, Rayo Vallecano and Real Murcia) and has played 115 matches in the top flight in Spain. Iturra has also put on the shirt of Universidad de Chile, Leiria, Udinese and Necaxa. Throughout his professional career, Iturra has played in a total of 497 official matches.
A midfielder who brings security
Manuel Iturra, who has dual nationality (Chile and Italy), is a pure midfielder with a great ability to win the ball back before finding a team-mate. He knows how to interpret the game perfectly.
