

The Villarreal goalkeeper was operated on at the Centro de Excelencia FIFA Ripoll y de Prado Quirón Murcia
Andrés Fernández, Villarreal’s goalkeeper from Murcia, Spain, underwent a successful operation on the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee this morning, at the Centro de Excelencia FIFA Ripoll y de Prado Quirón Murcia. The goalkeeper was injured in the match against Real Sociedad at the Anoeta stadium, corresponding to Matchday 2 of the LaLiga Santander (25th August). Andrés Fernández was operated on by Doctor Pedro Luis Ripoll under the supervision of the head of medical services at Villarreal CF, Adolfo Muñoz.
Joan Femenías, also operated on successfully
In addition, the Villarreal B team goalkeeper, Joan Femenías, also underwent successful surgery on an injury to the labrum in his left shoulder at the Centro de Excelencia FIFA Ripoll y de Prado Quirón Murcia. Doctor Pedro Luis Ripoll also carried out this operation.
