The Villarreal Manager expects an exciting encounter against UD Las Palmas (Friday, 8:45pm)
At today’s press conference, the Villarreal CF Manager, Fran Escribá, analyzed the Yellows’ current situation ahead of tomorrow’s match against UD Las Palmas at the Estadio Gran Canaria (8:45pm CET). The Yellows boss expects an intense and exciting game: “I envision a game with goals. If we only think about defending our goal we’ll be closer to losing the match. We have to go for the game from the start. Las Palmas are a quality side and a team that always create chances”.
The Submarine Manager is calm though: “Evidently, we are ready and have worked on this. In any case, I’m calm and very happy with the players that are playing less. Obviously, I have to make decisions, but for example when Rukavina plays instead of Mario I’m equally as relaxed. Likewise with the centre backs, when they’ve played I’ve been happy with both Álvaro and Bonera. You can also see the same with Andrés, who has come back into the team at his best. I’m very relaxed with making changes because, independent of whether one player or another plays, I know the team will respond”.
Escribá will not have Soldado, Asenjo, Adrián or Cheryshev available for this league fixture.
