The Villarreal CF Manager, Fran Escribá, is optimistic ahead of the league clash against Celta
At midday today, the Villarreal CF Manager, Fran Escribá, analyzed the Submarine’s current situation and the next league match against RC Celta de Vigo at the Balaídos stadium (Sunday, 6:30pm CET). For the Yellows Manager, the fact that Celta are coming off the back of a UEFA Europa League tie makes the sky blues starting eleven difficult to predict, but he is optimistic ahead of the clash. Villarreal have won their last two matches (Osasuna and Espanyol) and have established themselves in sixth place in the table. “We’re going to the Balaídos in good form to pick up a good result. We’re ambitious”, the boss commented.
The Manager also stated that, “Although we’re only thinking about the Celta match at the moment, it’s true that we’ve got two matches now, against two very difficult opponents away from home, and it would be really important to come away from them and go into the [international] break with the feeling that the team is strong, in a good place and not falling any further behind those teams above us”.
