Roberto Soriano wants the team to go all out in the match against Granada CF (Saturday, 1pm)
Villarreal CF’s Italian-German midfielder, Roberto Soriano, is only thinking about this Saturday’s match against Granada CF (1pm CET) at the Estadio de la Cerámica: “We want to show that we are competitive. The team is thinking about the next match, which is the most important one for us right now. We can’t drop our heads, we have to keep training hard to make sure we get the three points. We have to think about getting back to winning and this is the match to just that, but it won’t be easy”.
The Submarine is sixth in the table and the team to have conceded the least goals in the LaLiga Santander so far. Despite the good stats though, the Yellows’ first victory in 2017 is yet to come. “There are many teams that are playing well at the moment. It’s difficult to stay at the top consistently, but the important thing for us is to try to win our next games to get back up there”, Roberto Soriano affirmed.
The talented midfielder also had some words of praise for Villarreal CF’s new addition, Adrián López: “Adrián is a great player that can help the whole team. He’s a bit more attacking than Pato and Sansone”.
Furthermore, Soriano is happy that Roberto Soldado will be back on the pitch in a few weeks time: “It’s important for Soldado to return because he’s been out for many months now and he’s a really important player for the club. I think he’ll be playing in a few weeks, but the most important thing is that he’s ok”.
Lastly, the Yellows midfielder analyzed the upcoming UEFA Europa League opponents, AS Roma: “Roma play really well. They have a complete team, both physically and technically. I think it will be difficult to get through to the next round, but we can do it”.
