The Villarreal CF Manager was satisfied after qualifying for the Round of 16
Villarreal CF Manager, Fran Escribá, commented on his team’s good performance in the cup tie against Toledo: “The players did everything possible to win but just weren’t clinical enough. We had enough chances to win the game”. Furthermore, with a 0-3 advantage, the Manager was satisfied with both matches against Toledo: “We’re in the Round of 16 and I think that’s fair. We’re excited about the cup”.
On Friday the draw for the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey will take place and Escribá does not have any preferences: “I don’t have a preference. It will be difficult round because the majority are teams from the First Division. But over two matches we can beat anyone”.
Lastly, Fran Escribá had a wish for 2017: “I wish for health in 2017. I hope injuries are kind to us and we always have as many players available as possible”.
