The Villarreal B team striker was optimistic about the future of the Yellows Reserves
The Villarreal B team’s Alicante born striker, Carlos López, is looking to the future with optimism. The Mini Submarine drew 1-1 against Lleida Esportiu in a match that the Yellows had enough chances to take the three points in, but took away one thanks to a goal by Carlitos himself.
“We’ve been left with a bittersweet taste in our mouths. It was a tough match against Lleida in which we went ahead on the scoreboard, but they came back and equalized. The Manager is right: the more you think about something, the greater the chance it will happen and that’s exactly what happened. We have to keep working like this because we’re doing well and the results will come”, he commented.
In fact, the skilful striker predicts a promising future for the Villarreal B team: “We’re playing and training really well. We’re not having 100% luck, but we’re going to go in search of it. I still believe we can get to the top. If we don’t have that goal, we wouldn’t have anything to play for”.
In terms of analyzing the upcoming rival, Carlitos López warned that l’Hospitalet will be a hard opponent, next Saturday at the Mini Estadi (6pm, on Villarreal CF Live and the ‘Televisión de Castellón Mediterráneo’ channel): “L’Hospitalet always turn up every season. They’re a tough team, like every team in our league. We hope to take the game to them with our fans behind us. From here I’d like to call on the fans to come out and support us because their presence is always felt”.
