Three Yellows Academy teams were Champions and three were Runners-up
After four days of intense competition, the Yellows Academy teams were victorious in the Costa Girona Cup, played at the magnificent ‘Top Ten Sports’ facility in Girona. A total of three Yellows teams were crowned champions in a competition organized by Villarreal CF and collaborating company ‘Endeka Sports’, that consisted of six age groups. In total, more than 80 teams enjoyed taking part in the spectacular tournament that is gaining more and more prestige every year.
What’s more, as well as enjoying playing in the tournament, players were also able to enjoy participating in different activities arranged by the organization. It should also be noted that yesterday the Costa Girona Cup finished in style, as the final celebration was held at ‘SANDDANCE’, a local, fashionable pool club in Lloret de Mar.
The champions in each category were the following:
- U8: Villarreal CF.
- U10: RCD Espanyol.
- U12: RCD Espanyol.
- U14: Villarreal CF.
- U16: Kaptiva Sports.
- U18: Villarreal CF.
The other three Yellows teams finished as runners-up (U10, U12 and U16). Then, in addition to the team awards, the Yellows also picked up a few individual awards- Pedro (U10), Mario (U12) and Moha (U19) all chosen as tournament MVP’s.
