Plenty of the town’s citizens gathered to cheer on Spain in the EUROs
Artana, hometown of Yellows captain Bruno Soriano, went mad for Spain in EURO 2016. Lots of neighbours got together to cheer on the Spanish national team, managed by Vicente del Bosque, from a distance. The presence of Villarreal CF player Bruno Soriano on the pitch sent the fans crazy for the ‘Roja’ (Reds), in a small town of around 2,000 residents in the Castellón province .
The well known bar Jolvi’s is always decorated for every Spain match. Flags, banners… And the townfolk shone with pride as they wore their Spain shirts with Bruno number 19 on their backs.
Yesterday, against Croatia, the celebration was not complete due to the result (2-1), but the match was lived to the full. Screams filled the bar with Morata’s goal, but even more so when Bruno entered the field of play in the 59th minute, replacing Nolito. The captain of the Submarine played the last half an hour of the match and put in a very good performance.
Nobody was missing. Bruno’s family and friends, who have watched him grow up, are all really enjoying watching him defending Spain in EURO 2016.
