The Yellows lost to Hoosier Army in the heat

Villarreal were knocked out of TST after being defeated by Hoosier Army (0-4) in the Round of 32.

The match started with the side from Indiana looking dangerous, but Villarreal aiming for the counter.

It was a fiery start, with yellows for both teams, and it was goalless at the break, with few real chances.

However, Hoosiers took the lead after a great individual goal from Ahlinvi just over a minute after half time.

Alberto Ramos nearly got a great equaliser with a long-range shot from his own half cleared by the goalkeeer.

Hoosier Army continued to dominate the ball, but Villarreal were in the game, and Óscar Murillo’s effort was saved well.

But the game soon became complicated for Villarreal with Cory Thomas making it 0-2 and then Xisco Nadal being sent off after seeing two yellow cards in quick succession, first for kicking the ball away and then arguing with the referee.

Tanner Thompson added a third before target score time, which was set at 4. Despite the Submarine giving their all, Panchot scored the winner for Hoosier Army and Villarreal were out.
