Setién assures that the dressing room is aware of the importance of the game against Real Valladolid
Villarreal CF head coach Quique Setién spoke to the media at the press conference ahead of the match against Real Valladolid, which will be played tomorrow at the Estadio de la Cerámica, starting at 2pm.
The Yellows coach predicts a competitive game against an opponent who need to win to move further away from the relegation zone.
The team
“We are doing well. The mood is high and we have had good training sessions this week. We are expecting a tough game against a team that has a lot of mechanisms to engage us, so we need to be very focused and into the game to maintain the line of performance we have achieved so far”.
Étienne Capoue and Raúl Albiol
“Both are ready to play. I don’t know if they’ll start a few minutes, whatever I think, but they’re better and they’ve participated in practically all the training sessions and they’re ready to play.”
Depending on other results?
“Until the end of the season there will be a series of clashes that will alter the standings, but everything will be resolved in the last few games. I’m not overly concerned about what the others do, but what we do, because we have a difficult game against a team that is playing for their lives. We have already suffered setbacks against teams that are below us, but they all end up compromising you.”
The importance of the fans
“I ask people to cheer us on and really push us because we need to seize this moment.”
