The Yellows legend visited the US representing Villarreal to carry out three clinics

Former Villarreal captain and current Institutional Relations Department member Marcos Senna travelled to the United States representing the Yellow Submarine to carry out three clinics. The Yellows legend and former Spain international returned to the country where he lived between 2013 and 2015, when he played for the New York Cosmos.

On what was a very busy trip around North America, the first stop for Senna was Miami, where he met and even trained with youngsters at the Villarreal ID Camp in Tamiami Park and Tropical Park. Nearly a hundred promising young talents took part in the event, with two players, Ricardo Sierra and Lucas Fredericks, standing out and receiving the opportunity to take part in tryouts to form part of the Villarreal CF Academy in Vila-real.

The former Yellow Submarine midfielder also tried ‘footgolf’ in the Florida city. There, he met with Piero Menor, a Spanish international footgolfer, who introduced the Brazil-born Spaniard to this innovative sport.

Senna also visited one of the Villarreal official affiliate schools, World Star Soccer School, in New Jersey. There, he carried out a clinic alongside Kosmos FC, where he chatted with and played alongside the children, inspiring them to reach their soccer goals.

The final stop on his US tour was in Annandale, Virginia, where he visited one of our official partner academies, the Villarreal Virginia Academy. At their facilities, Senna gave another clinic, from which hundred of boys and girls got to meet and even play soccer with the former Yellows captain.
