Only season ticket holders will be able to attend, but attendance will NOT count towards the discount on next year’s season ticket

Villarreal CF informs that this Wednesday’s UEFA Europa League match against Maccabi Haifa (9pm CET) will have special security measures in order to offer maximum guarantees to all season ticket holders who will attend the match at the Estadio de la Cerámica.

Only season-ticket holders can attend

The match will be played only with the presence of home season ticket holders. The away fans will not be allowed access to the Estadio de la Cerámica.

There will be no tickets on sale for this match, the away stand will be closed and all fans wishing to attend the match must be season ticket holders of the club, who will only be able to access the stadium by showing their season ticket card and showing at the access control their ID card, driving licence, passport or any other document that can prove the identity of the season ticket holder wishing to enter the stadium.

The club asks its season ticket holders to come to the Estadio de la Cerámica with sufficient time in advance of the various security checks planned and to avoid possible crowds at the entrance to the stadium.

Attendance will NOT count towards next year’s season ticket.

Villarreal CF has decided that attendance at this match will NOT count towards next season’s season ticket, so fans who are unable to attend will still qualify for the discount.

The official stores will be closed

The two official club stores, both the one at the Estadio de la Cerámica and the one located in the Plaza Mayor in Vila-real, will remain closed throughout the day.

Security arrangements will be reinforced

All security arrangements for the match will be reinforced. This will cause changes to be taken into account in the access to the Estadio de la Cerámica:

-The presence of security and police personnel will be multiplied at all entrances and relevant areas.

-All attendees will be subject to more thorough security checks at the stadium entrances.

-As a result, the gates will open at 7:30pm CET.

Security checks will take into account Article 6 of Law 19/2007 of 11 July 2007 against violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport, which already in any match usually details the conditions of access to a venue:

1. (a). It shall be prohibited to introduce, carry or use any kind of weapon or object likely to produce the same effects, as well as flares, firecrackers, explosives or, in general, flammable, smoke-producing or corrosive products.

(b). Introducing, displaying or producing banners, flags, symbols or other signs with messages inciting violence or by virtue of which a person or group of persons is threatened, insulted or harassed because of their racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation and identity, gender expression or sexual characteristics.

(c). Engaging in conduct described as violent, racist, xenophobic or intolerant in the previous sections.

(d). Entering the sports ground under the influence of alcoholic beverages, toxic drugs, narcotics or psychotropic substances.

(e). Entering the premises without a valid entry ticket.

(f). Any other conduct that may be determined by regulation, provided that it may contribute to the promotion of violent, racist, xenophobic or intolerant behaviour.

2. Spectators and those attending competitions and sporting events are obliged to submit to the relevant controls for the verification of the conditions referred to in the previous section, and in particular:

(a). To be recorded by means of closed-circuit television in the surroundings of the sports venue, at its entrances and inside the same.

(b). To submit to personal searches aimed at verifying the obligations contained in the paragraphs of the previous section.

3. Any person who engages in any of the behaviours listed in the previous section shall be refused entry until they cease their conduct or are involved in any of the grounds for exclusion.
