The LALIGA mascots will compete in Leganés in six unique trials to determine which is the best in Spanish football
We’re going to the Olympics! Villarreal’s mascot, the evergreen Groguet, will take part in the LaLiga Mascots, an original competition that will take place next Sunday 19th November at the Estadio de Butarque (Leganés) and in which LaLiga’s mascots will compete to be the best in Spanish football.
Groguet (Villarreal), Súper Pepino (Leganés), Palmerín (Betis), Indi (Atlético), Amunt (Valencia)… the LaLiga mascots will compete in an original and fun competition made up of six events:
1. 100 metres hurdles
2. 100 metres sprint
3. Cucumber throw
4. MLS style penalty vs legendary goalkeepers
5. Relay race
6. Online public votes
The event will be available to watch live on Sunday 19th November at the Estadio Municipal Butarque from 12pm CET. In the run-up to the Mascot Olympics, various activities will take place around the stadium, which will be confirmed in the coming days. In addition, all attendees will be able to have their photograph taken with some of the mascots taking part in the competition if they purchase their ticket with this option.
