Rubén Peña underlines the path to follow to beat Leganés this Saturday
Villarreal right-back Rubén Peña underlined that the team is ready to beat Leganés this Saturday at Butarque (4pm CEST). “The team isn’t playing badly at all. We’re feeling good in the games and we’re hurting our opponents. We have to make sure we stop making those one-off errors which stop us getting points, and from there, we’ll grow.”
Peña will face one of his former teams. “I was there for two years. I know what Butarque is like and what the club is like too. It won’t be easy to beat Leganés. You’ll have to see Villarreal at their best for us to do that. When we don’t have the ball, we’ll know how to suffer. If we don’t match our opponents in terms of intensity, we won’t be able to compete in this league,” he warned.
Finally, the defender analysed the lack of difference between many sides in LaLiga: “The league is even. All the teams are dropping points. We can’t wait to get that first win. We deserve it and I’m sure it will come sooner rather than later.”
